As a fully qualified and accredited counsellor, I offer compassionate, empathic and professional support to clients across a wide range of age groups. I have extensive experience helping individuals navigate anxiety, depression, stress, relationship difficulties, abuse and school-related challenges, providing a safe and supportive space in which clients can feel heard, understood and empowered. I am also specially trained to work with survivors of domestic and sexual abuse and violence, an area of counselling I feel deeply committed to and passionate about.
With over twenty years of experience working within education, alongside more than ten years counselling young people from the age of 13, I have developed valuable insight into the emotional, social and academic pressures faced within school, college and university environments. My background enables me to build strong therapeutic relationships with students, teachers and educational professionals, and I have a particular interest in supporting those navigating the unique challenges and demands of educational life and careers.
In addition, my experience studying and working within multicultural communities has enhanced my understanding of diversity and strengthened my ability to work sensitively and respectfully with individuals from a wide range of cultural, social and personal backgrounds. I value creating an inclusive, non-judgemental environment where clients feel comfortable exploring their experiences and developing greater self-awareness, confidence and resilience.

What clients have said:
“My sessions with Liz have been like having a sympathetic ear and a magic mirror. I can rant, whimper, laugh or cry without embarrassment or judgement and the mirror reflects my feelings as thoughts, easier to unpick and make sense of.” (Adult client)
“Thank you so much for all that you’ve done for me. You helped me so much and I will be forever grateful. I know it’s your job to help but that doesn’t change anything!” (Teenage client)
“Face to face, or since lockdown, on Zoom, Liz has always made me feel comfortable, safe and permitted to communicate as I’m feeling at the time. The style of therapy Liz practises has helped me put some perspective in my negative thoughts, sorting through perception and actuality, and identifying areas I’ve neglected.” (Adult client)
“I know it’s been really beneficial with her seeing you over this time. Now off to uni and she seems so happy and in a good place. Thanks so much.” (Parent of a teenage client)
